Aaaand the event is over. Thank you for being part of frag-net.com history! We had a lot of fun trying out our multiplayer web ports with you all. As announced earlier this year, we have been working incredibly hard on minimizing the memory footprint to get everything to fit. All of us were delighted to see you enjoying our content or the technical "black-magic" going on to make all this possible. Zombie Panic! was ported by us in a few weeks. It doesn't change any code from our HL1-port to QuakeWorld, it only adds its own gamerule file and text files describing the weaponry. Making it a perfect way to study what it takes to get a mostly-faithful port of a mod such as the original Zombie Panic!. You can study the game-pak that handles the port here. Most of the work is really done by the `decl/` and `src/rules/` directory. The `scripts/maptweaks.txt` also do some clever things for compatibility. If you know, you know. Overturn didn't even boot until this morning. It's a mod from the modern-era, as such it has heavy amounts of entity work and will thus strain browser memory a lot more. The Overturn team will be updating the web build, to benefit from the latest improvements in Nuclide soon. There's no real VR testing being done with these titles yet, but you can try.
